From what i understood, the original D-Activator was meant to be like a passive version of an EMG-81. The description on the DiMarzio site talks a lot about trying to being the best qualities of an active to a passive and that’s all good and I can dig where they are coming from. Would it sound good and balanced in the neck in a basswood RG with a regular D Activator in the bridge?  They are combined here in to a single review.
